FAQ

How much space is required for an open-air photo booth?
The open-air photo booth with a backdrop requires 3 m width x 3 m depth x 2.5 m height on a flat surface.

What is required to run a Retro photo booth?
Our photo booth requires a standard electrical outlet (220 volts, 3 prongs), similar to what your computer with printer would need. If it is a non-powered site, we will bring our generator. It may make some noise, but will not disturb your event.

How long does it take to make the photos?
After your guest or our assistant presses the start button, the photo-snapping process starts. There is a five-second pause between each photo, with a live post-view screen and countdown to the next picture. Once all the photos are taken, two beautiful photo-strips dispense into the collection tray just in seconds!

Do I get digital photocopies from the photo booth?
Yes, you do! We will share them with you via Dropbox after the event.

Is it possible to have my event name or a logo printed on the photos?
We’ll brand and layout your photo strips any way you like. Photo strips are fully customizable to your liking. Just let us know what you want. You will love our designs.

Can the photo booth be used outdoors?
Yes! We just need a 220-volt power source and a flat surface. In most cases, we prefer a sheltered area, since it is not recommended to leave the photobooth in direct sunlight.

Where does Retro Photo Booth travel?
We deliver the Retro Photobooth to Auckland, Whangarei, Hamilton, Coromandel, Rotorua, Tauranga, Taupo. If the venue for your event is located in a different area, drop us an email and we’ll see what we can do.

What is a “backdrop”?
It’s the background you’ll see in your picture. We offer several options or you can supply your own. We can also create something customised for your event – contact us to sort it out!

What is the setup time?
On average 1 hr, however, can vary depending on the details of your event.
